BFI Funded short film, described as a "queer council house western". "Cowboy" Valentine Hope embarks on a mission to save his friend.
Ash is a deeply talented, experienced and instinctive DOP with a true passion for
collaboration. His glowing reputation is well deserved. His approach to work is professional, and respectful, but also with a real flair for collaborative joint endeavour.
He is a deeply talented creative with a voice that deserves to be heard. He is a gifted problem solver, unflappable, and committed to realising a director’s vision. I couldn’t have asked for a better collaborator.
Hope Ain’t Right is a better film for his work on it, and I truly cannot wait to work with him again.
I hope to see Ash continue his upward trajectory and receive the deserved
acknowledgment for his talent and inclusive approach.
